Pilates is a unique method of strengthening and stretching exercises developed by Joseph H. Pilates. It strengthens, tones muscles, improves posture and balance, provides flexibility, unites body and mind, and creates a more streamlined shape. Pilates is a fantastic exercise choice and its foundations will have a positive effect on every other physical activity you do.
I’ve studied Pilates for years and always been a huge fan of the incredible benefits of this form of exercise. Pilates is so much more than the typical gym session or running. One-to-one Pilates offers incredible body tone, flexibility and fitness along with the added benefit of a calm mindset.
When I had my twin girls, Alice and Chloe, I was looking for a local Pilates studio in Clapham, which was affordable with one-on-one Pilates reformer sessions in a convenient location. The upshot? I couldn’t find what I was looking for, which begged the question… why not do it myself?
I am now a fully certified Polestar Pilates Instructor offering one-to-one Pilates lessons from a fantastic home Pilates studio near Clapham Common, London.
